Apa yang generasi Y perlu tahu mengenai "ground zero " politik Malaysia

Generasi Y mewakili 40%  pengundi  baru.

"PUTRAJAYA: A BANK chief executive officer had declared to the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) in 1999 that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had instructed him to channel millions of ringgit into the accounts of individuals and companies.

ACA had obtained a confession from the CEO, who was the first suspect questioned by the graft-fighting body investigating alleged corruption and abuse of power by Anwar, who was deputy prime minister and finance minister  until Sept 2, 1998. Sources said the CEO would have been a star witness, having managed the movement of the funds locally, only for investigators to discover that those instructions were largely verbal and without a paper trail.

Nonetheless, ACA had uncovered breaches of the Companies Act and the Securities Commission Act by companies it was investigating and had recommended that the Securities Commission pursue action-News Straits Times Malaysia 12 June 2012"

Maka Singapura berbangga kerana populasi Melayunya rendah.

Bagai Beruk Mendapat Takhta?

Heal thy nation

Transparent and independent;three representatives from the opposition-photo courtesy of blogger Aloq Staq

To heal thy nation, justice must be seen. Justice is not limited to one grieving party, but must be disseminated to everybody equally.

While I symphatised with the late Teoh family, his fiancee and an unborn child, my heart cries out even louder for a miscarriage of justice done to the police, MACC officers, denizens and government of Malaysia.

The primary issue was corruption, and the late Teoh was a witness to the prosecuting team. He was supposed to bring more documents to assist MACC. It was common for all witness to be summoned up to MACC headquarters to be questioned and the questioning can take several hours. It was common too, to have the questioning extended till late at night..just talk to a few person who had been summoned to MACC in the past .

The late Teoh must have felt very tired or have some strong and valid reason to ask for an overnight stay at MACC...... reasons now, unfortunately, buried with him......alas he was found lifeless the morning after.

MACC is an independent body that reports to PM. The same set up is also found in former British colony like Hong Kong. To reflect this independent set up, at the very top echelon of MACC, consisted the three representatives from Pakatan Rakyat....

Lest the members of the public quickly pointing fingers, please remember, above all, MACC will not gain anything with a dead witness off the dock! More details can be found in these latest ,interesting and exhilarating articles of The Unspinners and The Thirteen Million Guy Rumbles

Nations, are entitled to eclipse, but once the eclipse is over, the sun shines ever brighter. As the cloud parts, the sun rays will reach every cubic millimeter of the atmosphere to bring about warm and reassuring rays for the rest of the days...........These past few days is a test, of sort, to the law enforcing authority, namely the police and MACC, judiciary system and above all law abiding denizens of Malaysia. The big question now is, can Malaysians think and act wisely?

Recent history of modern Malaysia has shown that Malaysians are easy prey to dirty manipulating tactics by irresponsible politicians to fan racial tension and instigate anti establishment (ill ) feeling amongst her people. Remember how an opposition MP , used the issue of woman striped naked down to her bra and panties in a police lock up to fan racial hatred towards the police and Malaysian government a few years ago? It turned out that the woman was a Malay woman, caught for suspected drugs abused with her then boyfriend within a school compound! The issue died suddenly after the FACTS was released. That female MP NEVER APOLOGISED to members of the public who were plainly misled to believe that the woman was a Chinese national.

There are other issues that followed afterward, but the damage done by many irresponsible MPs was only tips of the iceberg. If the opposition MPs are true to their calling for the end of bad treatment in the lock up, why then should they confined the issue to a certain race? Why are the opposition SO EAGER to champion a certain race!

Polarised politic; that is politics simply based on race and religion, never really die with the set up of Pakatan Rakyat. The facts are now clear, that Pakatan Rakyat objective to give alternative to the people, and materialised two- party -system such as in USA or UK was a mere myth!. DAP 's major role and prime instigator in politicising The Teoh Beng Hock case ( as well as other Pakatan Rakyat coalition member) is a proof that polarised politics is rife in Malaysia, and Pakatan Rakyat is championing such agenda.

Malaysians are taught to win early on in life,...... public exam, entrance exams for elite schools and universities, games, race, and.......in adult life .......the party that we give support shall win in an election, to such extend that the winning streak is like a life tonic to some people. And so we have a kiasu subculture born in this country , a subculture that is uniquely Malaysians. Kiasu means fight to win at all cost. These days kiasu has gain notoriety as the fight to win at all cost and even willing to
jeopardised morality and conscience in the process. Maybe in our haste to rush and gain worldly gains we forget that we, as servant of God, will be questioned for whatever misdeed we do in our afterlife there after.

Have we ever stop and think that winning is not the solution to all problems especially when it involves conscience. Conscience is what makes up the soul of a person.

My past postings have argued on political marketing. Political marketing, is a powerful tool. But once misused, and abused, the wrongly skewed strategy executed to garner more support backfires.......that lead to more public outcry .......and eventually will do more damage than the passive marketing based on brand alone; marketing that is based on past reliable performance and present effectiveness of handling a series of issues.

Politicians who are trigger happy to politicised the death of the late Teoh now find that the damage is boomeranged towards them. DAP and Pakatan Rakyat should have never use the unfortunate death to gain political mileage. Have they not learn enough? The past issues of members of the opposition team easily jumping to conclusion, making a hill out of mole on a certain localised issue to gain political mileage, and the present issue of Teoh Beng Hock's death and the link to underworld vice activities, permanently tainted the opposition.......these issues are fast making the opposition team a loser in the (hopefully) more discerning and maturing political eyes of the Malaysian public.

As the sun parted warm rays towards earth after the longest eclipse in the 21st century yesterday, it is my wish that Malaysians from all walks of life give support to the setting up of the Public Inquest of the late Teoh and the setting up of A Royal Commission for MACC . Amen

Political Marketing, a fad or a trend in Malaysia?

Preamble.
In my previous post, "How to be elected as a parliamentarian in Malaysia" I mentioned the manipulation of a powerful marketing technique called "by the word of the mouth". Also, lately, we notice that Malaysia is catching up with the rest of the western countries when it comes to marketing a coalition party or a loosely grouped parties to the would be voters, in a trend termed marketing politics.
Marketing politics is a trend that has proven to be very expensive in the recent presidential election in United States of America which saw Barrack Hussein Obama Jr. being elected as the first black President. He is reported to shell out a huge amount of money for his presidential campaign.
Is marketing politics a trend or a fad in Malaysia? I bet it is here to stay for a long time...to know my reasoning ..read on!
What is in store for us, Malaysians? General Election 12 on 8 March 2008, the recently concluded UMNO General Assembly, PAS Muktamar and numerous by elections were all clear tell tale signs that Malaysian politics has caught on this trend ..of marketing politics. Lest the Malaysian politicians naively think that they have reached the pinnacle of their career, by attaining the market share in the recent General Election 2008 or by elections, beware, for managing success and maintaining one's market share of voters loyalty is another battle field with new grounds to conquer all together.
The classic war and a favorite Harvard Business School case study between Coca Cola vs. Pepsi Cola or Mercedes vs. Lexus for market share and brand loyalty should be the lesson for these political entity in Malaysia. As aptly put by Mr Aftab, the writer of marketing politics, the ideology, the policy and how members of the said party communicate with the voters from on place to another, or from ethnic group to another does not change...if the political entity is applying good marketing politics. But, if marketing politics is underdeveloped, such being the case in Pakistan, it will lead to political instability and mistrust!. Another point to note is marketing politics involved lots of research, ground works and so forth. The question is, are Malaysian politicians and voters ready for this kind of game?
To know more about marketing politics, read on the excerpt from Mr. Aftab Hussein

Scope of Political Marketinghttp://www.political-marketing.net
Still this subject is in developing phase and need to do a lot to formally recognize Political Marketing as separate subject. In my point of view Political Marketing is highly significant in all countries especially in democrat governments and more especially to developed countries.
Political Marketing is essential for political parties, leaders, government and as well as for general public. Political Marketing brings stability in political culture of a country that in return brings prosperity in national economy at root and gross level. Without Political Marketing or misuse of Political Marketing it is really intricate to better understand public needs and it is so intricate to create and develop good governance in a society.
Visit http://www.political-marketing.net for more details
To better understand the scope of Political Marketing I would like to quote two examples. 1st for the country where Political Marketing is being implement since many years and in contrast to this the another country where Political culture is not developed yet in parties as well as political leaders are not aware about Political Marketing. On 1st hand I will like to quote USA. Where we can see very clear that Americans are implementing Political Marketing since many years in America, before elections the candidates create and develop a philosophy for their election campaign. So they are clear about what they are communicating in their dialogue. At all level their philosophy remains same, their goals, mission and objective does not change, audience to audience and place to place. What ever they communicate for coalition parties or public, in New York or in any other state, the theme of their communication at all level remains same because they are well prepared, we can’t find any contradiction in their speeches, it builds harmony and trust in public. As a result we can see that in America normally election forecasting is done before elections by survey and pools and election result proofs those predictions. Visit http://www.political-marketing.net for more details
On other hand I would like to quote an example of a developing country where political culture is not as developed yet. We can see that in Pakistan there is political instability, political leaders in Pakistan are not well aware about the importance of Political Marketing due to lack of knowledge. There is no research, no philosophy and no proper developed campaign. One leader is talking and communicating other things compare to other leader of same party, even we can notice very clearly that same leader is communicating in different way with different theme and objective on different occasions and at different territories. Its due to lack of research, lack of proper philosophy and agenda and without preparation of any centralized campaign. As a result public don’t believe their promises and other parties get advantage of their contradictions, however we can see instability, lack of trust inside party and no clear vision. If we summarize all discussion and keep in mind both examples its clear that without research, developed philosophy and centralized political marketing and election campaign and theme it is impossible to build public trust and harmony at national level. we must give a direction to political activities to get good results for a better future. For the reason our organization, political marketing services slogan is “VOTE FOR TOMORROW” that describes well all functions of political marketing at all levels, government, political parties, leaders and for public. Points to ponder: Building brands on Malaysian politicians.

What comes to mind if I mention the political brand of "Ibrahim Ali" or "Zulkifli Nordin"? We perceive them as being politicians with high integrity, one who steadfastly uphold a certain principle in life and politics, one that is not easily swayed by emotions nor pressure, come what it may, but one who is positively associated with championing an issue.

What comes to mind if I mention "Nizar Jamaluddin" political brand? It is a sure firebrand, but fast becoming a poster boy for political fiasco. Refer to his antics in Perak State Assembly and the recent Parliament House to know, if this politician can survive the positive branding on Malaysian politician and retain the present market share of voters loyalty.

Ehmm marketing consultant, anyone?
